太写实了，人物情节都不那么引人入胜。坚持看完以后发现她对农村生活的观察非常细致——“原教旨主义，性别歧视，种族歧视，对残障人士的歧视” 到今天还是没有太大改变。

写实类的中国南方农村小说，同余华的在细雨中呐喊有点类似，写实中必然体现一些那个年代的弊端，只是一个自家人，一个终为客人。the good earth不说这个时代的形态，我一个没有插过秧的95后 也在中 有着对土地的迷恋。
