麥卡勒是寫故事的好手。故事隻是簡單地以倒敘法寫一宗美國軍營裏發生殺人案，但人物關係的張力貫徹始終。不是什麼深仇大恨纔會殺人，往往卻是無聊得發慌卻又無處申訴的狀態使人突然抓狂，所有人都是那個處境的受害者。

來迴的飛機上都睡醒瞭開始看書還把這書看完瞭，可見飛來飛去是有多遠瞭。。。雖然很多人說這是她評價最差的一本書，但是，我真的感覺完全能夠理解這種很神經病很復雜的感情啊！！！！

I love every single word this woman had written! And you can't miss out the brilliant afterword written by Tennessee Williams! Love it!

卡森·麥卡勒斯，20世紀美國最重要的作傢之一。1917年2月19日生於美國佐治亞州的Columbus。29歲後癱瘓。著有《心是孤獨的獵手》、《傷心咖啡館之歌》、《婚禮的成員》、《金色眼睛的映像》、《沒有指針的鍾》等小說作品。其中，《心是孤獨的獵手》在美國“現代文庫”所評齣的“20世紀百佳英文小說”中列第17位。1967年9月29日麥卡勒斯在紐約州的Nyack去世，時年50歲。
