1.作者简介错了，不是这位同名的作家，提交了但是豆瓣没有采用，如果有人看到可以点更新描述进去，选2006年去世的那位，帮忙加权修正一下。2.读单词书也能读到家乡哈哈，里面的places that made our language，satin词源是泉州。3. Not the urge to learn "words" - words are only symbols of ideas. But the urge to learn facts, theories, concepts, informations, knowledge, understanding. 4.单词难度比较低，也是很多年以前的书了，现在很多教学方法都较之进步了。

字根记忆法被公认为最好的单词记忆法之一，这本书优于那些字根词典的地方是：它是按特定主题和重要字根有系统地交叉编排的，更具相关性和趣味性，可惜只有16章，三两下就没了(PS: 平时碰到生词查下www.etymonline.com也不错，比刘毅那本方便好用，后者我多年来的使用率几乎为零)
