读这本书的过程简直是够呛
评分国内文人少有这样的幽默。
评分This little pamphlet is an accurate account for British history with years of researches conducted in golf clubs, gun rooms and hookah bars. With a seemingly skewed cultural narrative, it speaks to us a diachronic truth that subsequent decades have come to confirm: "History is not what you thought. It is what you can remember". Despite my lack of common sense regarding the British past, the book never fails to deliver a successful inscription of reconstructed and comprehensive historical facts (except for that of the common people, of course), as well as non-stopping laughters.
