Stanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnatses. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys' detention center, Camp Green Lake, where the warden makes the boys "build character" by spending all day, every day, digging holes: 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep. 虽然是儿童读物，可是语言真的真的很美。 虽然是一个少年的短暂经历，可是里面的小段爱情故事却能瞬间打湿眼眶。 和《当世界还小的时候》是同等次的美丽的文字，却又截然不同。 不知道有没有中译本，即使有请也不要拿来看！ 会让人回味，阅读是一件妙的事！

评分超好看，语言简单易读，故事性强，作者巧妙地埋下了很多有意思的伏笔，厉害。
评分不愧是叫挖坑，作者埋了好多伏笔！太棒了～ 一个个细节都成为后文推进情节的关键信息。这个胖小子虽然总被人欺负，但其实很善于察言观色；虽然总被认为会在错误的时间出现在错误的地点而倒霉，但他很懂得在什么时候不该说话。尤其喜欢他和zero做“交易”互取所需的那部分。看的是十周年纪念版本，所以书的最后有作者改编剧本的一部分。
