作为90年代初最早一批来中国投资的歪果仁，一边是美国成熟商业体系下大型投行的职业经理人，一边是中国内陆鸟不拉屎的山沟里计划经济体制下工厂的负责人，作者在两路人马迥异的经营与处世风格夹缝中之艰难求生历程，我看着都替他脑壳痛。最精彩的部分当属同时和好几个投资工厂中的牛鬼蛇神斗智斗勇的故事，让人看到刚改革开放时，面临经济巨大转型时社会其他方面滞后导致的各种问题，其实很多现在依然存在。
