This book focuses on KKR's founding, evolution, and innovations as ways to understand issues in modern American business. In examining KKR as a unique form of enterprise - one that subscribes to a set of alternative perspectives on business and value creation - the book bridges the gap between public perception and academic knowledge of the leveraged buyout, a crucial phenomenon of modern economic life.

书是好书，尤其是许多内容是少为人知的细节描述，而非一再泛泛的老调重弹。当然写书的两位教授也是有其立场的，书中是明显的站在KKR一边，用了人家的资料嘛。立场没有关系，关键是言之有物。亚马逊给了4星半，没有地方找到英文版。但翻译尚有待商榷，有许多一词多义的地方错...
