釐清瞭不少睏惑，糾正瞭很多誤區。雖然在評論方麵時常流露齣不少的個人意識形態，仍然是瞭解伊斯蘭教的絕佳入門讀物。

作者還是有抵觸情緒。這本書這麼薄要講清楚伊斯蘭的起源和發展經過是不可能的。感覺寫作的意圖更多的是化解成見，而不是係統性的講解伊斯蘭，作為一個宗教，一個社會體係，一種身份認同。總之太復雜瞭這本書沒講清楚。
