金·爱德华兹：生于德州，长于纽约，现为肯德基大学英文系助理教授，常于各地举办写作工作坊，著有短篇小说集《火王的秘密》。《不存在的女儿》是她出版的第一部长篇小说。
她是美国各大文学奖项的常胜客。2002年她获得怀丁基金会的怀丁作家奖(Whiting Award)，1998年则人选海明威文学奖。她还得过芝加哥论坛报举办的倪尔森爱格林奖(Nelson Algren Award)，全国杂志奖(National Magazine Award)等等。

很赞的故事～～非常感人，只是不知中文翻译的版本怎样——一看不存在的女儿这个书名的翻译我就吐槽无力…好吧…虽然确实不太好翻＝＝

评分很一般。读起来就觉得作者始终憋着一股气，特别刻意的想制造一种压抑一生的大悲，整本书特别多的顿句、短句，希望以此放慢读者的阅读速度，去吸收她想表达的情感。但是感情和文字趋于平面，读起来觉得闷钝，加上很多情节发展出现断层，整体就是行云流水的反面。
