前四章看得非常抑郁。如果没看完巴拿马裁缝前勒卡雷所有小说就别看了，全部泄个底朝天。身为犹太人的作者非常喜欢小鼓女，于是这本完全透成筛子，主要人物分析贯穿全书，其次是巴拿马裁缝和镜子战争。从第六章开始才稍微精彩点，圆场变迁部分很不错，之前都没发现勒卡雷所有的书其实都存在内在联系。关于CIA现实困境部分完全脱离本书宗旨，完全是讨伐啊23333书后附有一个主要人物表和勒卡雷虚构和非虚构类全清单，很实用。
