A searing, postapocalyptic novel destined to become Cormac McCarthy’s masterpiece.
A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and when the snow falls it is gray. They sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don’t know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing; just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearting, a cart of scavenged food—and each other.
The Road is the profoundly moving story of a journey. It boldly imagines a future in which no hope remains, but in which the father and his son, “each the other’s world entire,” are sustained by love. 作者简介

听着黑帝看的这本书，重复的无止尽的黑暗和冷漠，只有两人互相依偎的温暖，最后父亲死了，孩子也长大了
评分一场Carrying the fire的末路穷途。记忆部分处理得好。整个节奏也不错。关于善与恶、信仰与现实的讨论，变成了一种宗教般的虔信，一种仰望星空式的道德律，这是恐怕更多是作者的想当然，而非书中人物的想法。不喜欢皈依自然的倾向。
评分末日里父子两人每天走路、逃生、捡破烂、找吃的、找地方睡…语言风格方面写得很干，看的时候让我想起去年从拉萨回家的火车上坐对面的藏族朋友给我的手撕不开得用刀才能劈开刮下来的风干牛肉进嘴里的滋味(⊙ˍ⊙)但读起来还挺好
评分07年普利策获奖小说, Cormac McCarthy的这部作品可谓是黑暗末世版的愤怒的葡萄
评分看过之后确认这不是我的菜，寓言什么的太抽象而无趣了
