伦纳德•迈尔（Leonard B. Meyer, 1918.1.12-2007.12.30），美国当代著名音乐美学家、音乐文化史学家和音乐著述家。1949年在哥伦比亚大学取得音乐硕士学位，后在芝加哥大学攻读文化史专业，并于1954年取得博士学位。曾任教于芝加哥大学和宾夕法尼亚大学。著有《音乐的情感与意义》、《音乐的节奏结构》、《风格与音乐：理论、历史与意识形态》等多部重要著作，是20世纪音乐哲学中心理学倾向的代表人物。

译者简介：

刘丹霓，上海音乐学院音乐学系音乐文献编译硕士，现为上海音乐学院在读博士生，师从杨燕迪教授。已出版译著《西方音乐简史》，并参与翻译《西方音乐1500年》。
