个人真不觉得这是个多巧妙或者发人深省的故事,剧情人物都不是非常合理。我也没觉得除了从性别角度还有什么新颖的读法,尤其如果不看John Fletcher的续篇The Tamer Tamed。这个版本的注释经常忽略难点而去解释一些现代英语里仍使用的(高中生可能不认识的)生僻词,优点在提及了一点当时戏剧演出的实践。不同意Harold Bloom的文章认为Katherina的剧终独白暗中道出了夫妻相处中妻子应该如何利用表面的顺从反过来驯服丈夫。是这个解释牵强、过于现代了,还是我真的只读懂了字面义?
