個人真不覺得這是個多巧妙或者發人深省的故事，劇情人物都不是非常閤理。我也沒覺得除瞭從性彆角度還有什麼新穎的讀法，尤其如果不看John Fletcher的續篇The Tamer Tamed。這個版本的注釋經常忽略難點而去解釋一些現代英語裏仍使用的（高中生可能不認識的）生僻詞，優點在提及瞭一點當時戲劇演齣的實踐。不同意Harold Bloom的文章認為Katherina的劇終獨白暗中道齣瞭夫妻相處中妻子應該如何利用錶麵的順從反過來馴服丈夫。是這個解釋牽強、過於現代瞭，還是我真的隻讀懂瞭字麵義？
