實在是太有趣瞭，作為入門而言再閤適不過（甚至有點太淺瞭導緻我這個半吊子都覺得說的不夠深入）。全書也是非常的美國（或者說英語）視角。課後的discussion題目也都非常有意思，真想在美國大學的seminar裏花一個學期來上一門Linguistics 101，和教授同學一起討論然後自己挑個題目寫論文。

居然見到瞭這本書，大二把我摺騰到鬥雞的課本，mark一個。

整本讀完瞭的是1985版本，好喜歡，跟這個4th edition好不一樣。這本也看瞭。

在读这本书之前，完整读过的英文原著只有John Storey的《Cultural Theory and Popular Culture An Introduce》。这本书就是一个文化研究的简史，但其晦涩难懂直接让我断断续续一个多月才读完。不过这本《The Study of Language》却完全没有给人这样的感觉，很轻松半月搞定。（...
