读的不是这本。读的是写霍克尼的一本传记，而且是艺术家前半生的，从英国Bradford小镇到伦敦学美术，后途径纽约去洛杉矶发展，后在70年代已经很成功的记录。作者所作功课严谨，看日记、新闻、访谈等各种资源，汇集成此传记。内容上也是平平淡淡，介绍性的多，感情上的少，可能还是不了解艺术家本人的缘故。

这个就是好莱坞收藏很多的画了。构图直棱直角，色彩，他是不是没有调色板呢？艳是够艳。
