评分13年12月23日点的在看，整两年半才看完，算是破了个人阅读记录了。20世纪前半世纪的小儿女情长，主要发生于纽约的中产阶级。一篇又一篇刊登于vogue和名利场的故事绝妙讽刺了爱情中和失去爱之后的男男女女。看多了有种恍然活在1918年电话需要接线员的纽约。半部分是关于作者的采访和书信。
评分some of the stories are too depressing.
评分俏皮话讲的漂亮不代表小说诗歌写得好，目前读完的还没发现印象深刻的闪光点。她和现在的很多当红写手一样，大概过了这个时代，也就如同死灰了吧。。
