讀齣蠻多和中國古典詩歌可以互換相關的意象和心緒，難怪阿巴斯如此喜歡杭州，覺得精神上契閤，去的地方也都是很土著的杭州意味，五六次前來體會生活走街串巷找素材。曾經《杭州之戀》的working title就和這本詩集一樣，可惜永遠不可能被拍齣來瞭。。。

阿巴斯·基阿魯斯達米1940年6月22日生於伊朗首都德黑蘭，自小就錶現齣對藝術的強烈興趣。畢業於市立美術學院。他發現自己並不適閤走美術道路，為瞭生活，便暫且為交警局設計交通海報，同時給兒童讀物畫插圖，後來開始拍攝廣告和短片。對各種工作的嘗試為他日後從影積澱瞭豐富的社會生活經驗。1969年是伊朗電影史上不可磨滅的一年——伊朗新浪潮（Iranian New Wave）誕生瞭，青少年發展研究院聘請阿巴斯組建電影學係，此後的二十三年間（至1992年），他一直在此拍片。電影係成為瞭製作伊朗新電影的溫床，而對阿巴斯本人來說，這同樣是他人生的一個重要轉摺點，正是從六九年開始，作為一名導演、劇作傢、製作人以及剪輯師，他如一顆新星在伊朗電影工業浪潮中冉冉升起。

1970年，阿巴斯完成瞭他的首部抒情短片《麵包與小巷》，從中我們已可洞見他日後集大成作品的藝術風格：紀錄片式的框架，即興式的錶演，真實生活的節奏，和現實主義的主題。而這一切都被他舒緩自然地融閤在一起。積纍瞭幾年拍短片的經驗，1974年阿巴斯推齣瞭他的第一部劇情長片《旅行者》（當然也隻有74分鍾），細膩地描繪瞭一個叛逆的鄉村問題少年，他執意要到首都德黑蘭去看一場足球比賽。八十年代，他相繼拍攝瞭一些反映伊朗學齡兒童麵臨的問題的紀錄片，如《一年級新生》（1985），《傢庭作業》（1989）等等。
