如果說這是一本對postmodernist history theory的rebuttal的話，很不成功。Manipulation of public moral pressure也正應瞭Foucault所說的"regime of truth"。

對後現代的反駁還是有點無力瞭，作者預設很多基本底綫但是後現代本身就是要模糊底綫的，很多時候隻是礙於政治正確不講齣來罷瞭
