Johnsgard is Foundation Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences at the University of Nebraska. His forty-two books include "The Nature of Nebraska: Ecology and Biodiversity" and "Crane Music: A Natural History of American Cranes", both available from the University of Nebraska Press.
