Major gain: genetic information challenges the individualistic nature of many of the moral assumptions made in discussions of medical ethics. The book is well-organized but personally I feel that some counterarguments are not very strong.

迄今這個係列讀過最好的一本。內容上包括安樂死是否符閤道德，是否值得為個人付齣全社會資源救助，基因診斷後醫師是否有義務告訴男方喜當爹，等。嚮上，道德是形而上的問題，但作者並不側重。作者關注的是道德的現實問題，即是否實現利益最大化。

As a member of society, I totally agree with the best interest+volunteer rule. But as a natural human being, I prefer to decide when, how and why to die by myself, no matter it's active or passive. Writing has no problem. Logic is grounded and honest. But Ethics is all about trapping yrself and just boring...
