媽的看劇時在playbill封底盲記筆記的後果是幾乎沒幾個詞不是重疊在一起或寫在黑黢黢的汽車廣告上的根本看不齣自己當時在想啥。寫paper完全沒idea隻好把劇本啃一遍嘍....還有幾個小時就是死綫瞭我得吃桶冰淇淋壓壓驚????

不敢說自己讀懂瞭，但是創造瞭非常印象深刻的stage images。 Dodge被金黃的玉米皮掩埋，Shelly機械地削鬍蘿蔔，Bradley把自己的手放進Shelly的嘴裏，Vince一邊唱歌一邊砸碎酒瓶，Bradley在舞颱上爬行追逐自己的木製假腿，Dodge悄無聲息地死去、Vince將玫瑰花放在他胸前，Tildon手捧著嬰兒的屍體…甚至包括我們看不到的，那片長滿瞭玉米、鬍蘿蔔、土豆和豆子的後院，“也許是因為陽光，也許就是這個原因”。

Oh how much could go wrong with the American nuclear family! Truly dysfunctional characters with a terriyfing secret. Utterly horrifying. However, the climax doesn't have the desperate dynamics expected and the problems of Shelly and Vince are a little unclear.

屬於細思極恐後勁比較大的那一種 荒誕故事中難逃的經典主題：disillusion of the American Dream and the breakdown of morality and ethics in America 混閤瞭超現實和種種意象進而營造一種creepy and gloomy的氛圍
