作者简介
Yung Wing was the first Chinese student to graduate from a United States university (Yale College in 1854). He was involved in business transactions between China and the United States and brought students from China to study in the United States on the Chinese Educational Mission. He became a naturalized American citizen, but his status was later revoked under the Naturalization Act of 1870.

容闳的自传，民国时期商务出版过，《西学东渐记》。从小接受外国教育，英文写作流畅。更重要的是，容闳的经历丰富，书中写的跌宕起伏。
评分Only read the beginning part of it. Good for learning history. Not very interesting.
