Our Limited Edition on Mercury's Cougar sold very well and is now out of print, so we have updated it to a 136 page Muscle Portfolio. First produced in 1966, the Cougar proved to be a rousing success. However, sales started to drop in the early seventies and Mercury's response was to replace muscle with fluff by adding weight and specifying high-profit options. It worked, but only for a short period. Mercury never regained the muscle car' image. 43 articles include road and comparison tests, racing, history and specifications.
