StudioFilmClub accompanies two exhibitions in 2005. StudioFilmClub is Peter Doig's private cinema in his Trinidad studio, which he runs together with the artist Che Lovelace. Doig painted an expansive series of posters for the films to be shown in the cinema. They refer to key scenes, quote the original cinema posters or open associations to the movie's content. The paintings often show isolated figures reminiscent of Bergman or dark Hitchcock-like suspense.
