历时三个月，总算把这本书刷了四遍。作为一本了解美国的入门教材，我很难想象能比这做的更出彩的内容。作为一本英语学习材料，词汇的安排层层相扣，也是优秀到炸裂。美中不足的是如果只是抱着学习的态度，只练前50章就够了，后50章太过冗长，收获也不是特别多，我基本可以说是为了刷完而耍了。总之总算是可以放下基础教材开始着手把所有雅思真题再刷一遍了。

听完的第一本英文书，练听力的同时又学到了很多知识。这本书用100个问题简要介绍了美国的宪法、政治体制、法律、一些总统的事迹、战争历史、地理和一些小知识。书中的英文非常简单，但知识讲得很准确，历史讲得很生动。这是一本用来了解美国的非常好的书。

for listening，brief history of US

不只是听力学习材料，还是了解美国政治历史文化的敲门砖。自觉之前对美国知识有一定基础，听的过程还是获取了很多新鲜。可列入知识库长期备着。
