Grace Dove wrote an article for "Brio magazine (Focus on the Family) entitled "Eight Secrets About Guys (That shouldn't Be Secret ), published in may 2003. The response from teen readers was so overwhelming that Grace was asked to write another article with "more secrets," which was published in "Brio November 2003. "Brio's editor, Susie Shellenberger, contacted a literary agent and suggested Grace write a book on the subject. Most issues young women face either directly or indirectly involve guys. What girls don't know "can hurt them--""and the guys Girls deserve to know this stuff. This book fits our teen brand mission statement of "providing spiritually challenging, practical and authentic products that present biblical truth in a culturally relevant way."
