好几年没正儿八经地读科幻了，有惊喜，就是文笔差了些。

写得挺有文学性的，但无论是文字还是结构并没达到浑然天成的境界。慢慢显露的世界观设定，让阅读有些吃力，但设定本身还挺有意思。主题是关于压迫和解放，可以看出作者深受Toni Morrison的影响。

主角们拥有能够引发或者消解地震的能力，读完前几章会感觉是个类似 X-MEN 的「少数群体」故事。好在这感觉没持续太久，主线以 POV 的形式迅速展开又收拢，最后稳稳抛出一个 hook，举重若轻地告诉读者，「你看，这是关于他们，也是关于我们的，奴役与自由的故事。」
