超有意思，我一個不懂藝術的看得津津有味……主體是畫，有些畫有詳細介紹，詳細到貓的各種習性，比如說貓尾巴通常暗示瞭貓的想法，但並不總是這樣，旁邊的畫裏是一隻尾巴彎到頭頂腦子裏想著《巴黎評論》的貓 2333。除瞭畫以外還有獨立的文字頁，一般是名傢或者匿名傢寫的關於貓的箴言，比如 There are no ordinary cats; For a man to truly understand rejection, he must first be ignored by a cat……

畫中的貓，現代的作品比較多，每一幅貓選的都好看，各有各的美好。當然也收錄瞭一些名傢的作品：大衛霍剋尼，戈雅的作品和達芬奇的手稿貓（哈哈手稿貓）。

Angus Hyland is a partner at Pentagram Design London. His work for Laurence King includes The Picture Book (2010, with Steven Bateman), Symbol (2011), and The Purple Book (2013). Caroline Roberts is a journalist and author who writes mainly about the graphic arts. She is the co-author of New Book Design, Cut & Paste: 21st-Century Collage, and most recently 50 Years of Illustration. She was the founder of Grafik magazine.
