评价超高的一本，但我又不能领会了，可能是看腻了老男少女flirting。用词比较平，某种程度上我可能也是慕精英措辞型的。

有讲两性关系中权力的imbalance，却没有提供任何新的观点，也不够透彻，三段之前太牵强，当畅销书随便读一读还好。

去年很hyped的一本书，文字还比较流畅，但是内容的组织不敢恭维。也许因为实在想找到第二和第一部分的联系，所以带着悬念一口气读完。不能不说觉得这本和几年前的Fates and Furies一样，都是捧出来的

第一部分虽然虎头蛇尾但仍然暖心，怪老头和高冷女的故事真是不分国籍、万年卖点永不变。。。

Lisa Halliday has worked as a freelance editor and translator in Milan, where she lives with her husband. Her short story 'Stump Louie' appeared in The Paris Review in 2005, and she received a Whiting Award for Fiction in 2017. Asymmetry is her first novel.

By contrast, “Madness” is narrated by Amar, an Iraqi-American man who, on his way to visit his brother in Kurdistan, is detained by immigration officers and spends the last weekend of 2008 in a holding room in Heathrow. These two seemingly disparate stories gain resonance as their perspectives interact and overlap, with yet new implications for their relationship revealed in an unexpected coda.
