Nevertheless, I wish to defend the contemporary usefulness, indeed necessity, of serious utopianism, particularly in written form. Utopianism is a legitimate- and vital- means of offering constructive criticism of existing society in order to improve that society. But the criticism should be appropriate to the particular society being scrutinized.
