John Harte received B.A. from Harvard University, 1961 and Phd in physics from University of Wisconsin. Recently, he is a professor in University of California, Berkeley. His research includes causes and consequences of climate change with an emphasis on the study of climate-ecosystem feedback processes, theoretical ecology with an emphasis on elucidating relationships between community structure and functional integrity of ecosystems, causes and consequences of declining biodiversity, biogeochemical processes and their disruption, and the role of ecological integrity in human society.

作为modeling的书里面的问题过于简单了,大概用来教米帝的本科生比较合适。一二章不必看,甚至第三章很多问题也没看的必要,大概只要本科学过普通物理普通化学此书就没看的必要了……
