打印的电子书，资源中间缺了一页26－27。很不错的历史科普书。里面虚构的人物Taro在英语意思是芋头，后来看中间插画介绍，再看人物的包上写着[太郎]才晓得Taro是日语太郎的音译。这人最后在塞班岛的碉堡里被美军BBQ了。感觉鱼鹰社warrior系列虚构的历史代表人物很喜感，角斗士那本里头的H号插画介绍角斗士Astinax退休后开角斗学校，自己做教练，但他不会做会计算收入很头疼（喜欢会计的男的基本都像阉狗一般，哪个战士会去算流水账？女人变成精打细算的管家婆娘也是顶没趣的事，我真是瞎了眼选这么个垃圾专业，赶紧换行。LOL）整本书给人感觉很悲壮。但也反映了甲泼尼斯陆军很多问题，总体上技术看还是比欧美国家差，二战靠个人意志抗还是扛不住。

Identifying the ways in which the Japanese soldier differed from his Western counterparts, the author explores concepts such as Bushido, Seppuku, Shiki and Hakko Ichi-u in order to understand what motivated Japanese warriors.
