關於一個移民美國的猶太傢庭的書。很殘忍而現實的故事。自己住的lower east side直至今天還是最底層的人們的聚集地，問題總是被反映卻一直沒有得到解決。每一個爸爸都應該讀的書，隻可惜中文譯本還沒有齣來。

語言簡單樸質，感情真摯，不過總覺得對於Sara如何在艱苦環境下學習、如何適應大學生活這部分話語時間太少，一下就跳過瞭。
