Jhumpa Lahiri is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. 评分刚开始是在学校看到有同学在阿里推打折网http://www.alitui.com/remai/买了这个版本，我翻了下质量蛮好的之后就开始迷恋了 之前在印度旅行的时候买了原版书Unaccustomed Earth，非常好的一本小说集。写出了印度第二代移民在中西方文化之间的游荡和碰撞，远离和回归。

GR 4.08 (28000) 作为一个印度控，很惭愧地，我认识的印度人大多都是印裔的ABC (似乎应该叫做ABI吧)，很少有道地的印度土著，这本小说写的就是印度ABC们在异乡的故事：一本印度版的“北京人在纽约”。虽说是短篇小说集，其实是个多角度的长篇，细节细腻构思巧妙，再加上我喜欢的悲剧结尾，Jhumpa Lahiri也算是印度小说的金字招牌了，非常推荐
评分以后要是教英文系，一定会把这本书推荐给学生。作者很擅长用朴素平时的语言勾勒出人与人之间复杂微妙的情感。每个短片都有不同的叙事视角，每个细节都合情合理地安排在叙事结构中，不多不少，连贯一致。要搞英文创作，这是一本不错的范例。
评分短篇小說集，只讀了主打故事“不適之地”，沒感覺有什麽不適的啊，看上去你們不論是印度還是孟加拉的過的比阿拉伯來的還滋潤。再說都是G2了，還能有什麽不適呢，苦大仇深的我苦不堪言啊，罄竹難書！！
