刚开始是在学校看到有同学在阿里推打折网http://www.alitui.com/remai/买了这个版本，我翻了下质量蛮好的之后就开始迷恋了 之前在印度旅行的时候买了原版书Unaccustomed Earth，非常好的一本小说集。写出了印度第二代移民在中西方文化之间的游荡和碰撞，远离和回归。
評分作者少年写了个短篇集得普利策成名。写来写去大都是印度孟加拉裔跑到美国东北某藤校读博士，然后写那种背景的一代二代的故事。看起来很无趣没什么可写的一群，因为海外大部分30岁以上的中国人也是类似背景，华人论坛上的话题总是那些，但作者却能一本接一本的写，还写出新意，...

這個女作傢很神奇，語言輕描淡寫到口水話，小說中的主角永遠是印度某地去boston的phd，但是作品就是扣人心弦，說不齣來的好。。。
评分略翻過幾頁，似乎是一樣的調子。沒有短篇精簡
评分比Interpreter of Maladies更憂鬱，寫作技巧也更復雜，也有更多禪意。Agony, bitterness, confuse是人生常態。從Hell到Heaven，純粹因為苦難後的“悟道”。最後一篇Going Ashore，因為幾乎親身經曆過，不忍卒讀。
评分每個故事都看得我好心痛啊！！！特彆是最後一個
评分短篇小說集，隻讀瞭主打故事“不適之地”，沒感覺有什麽不適的啊，看上去你們不論是印度還是孟加拉的過的比阿拉伯來的還滋潤。再說都是G2瞭，還能有什麽不適呢，苦大仇深的我苦不堪言啊，罄竹難書！！
