Lieven De Boeck is someone and no one, all and nothing, present and absent, outspoken and unspoken. His engagement is a statement but also a sensibility, which creates his spectrum. In the present timeframe, each position is charged with tension. Still, Lieven presents a poetic path by silencing places and by banishing place from its position. A symbolism for a new entity is born: everyone in all, all in everyone.

The texts in the publication L.I.E.V.E.N.D.E.B.O.E.C.K. // TEXTS#1 engage the work of Lieven in numerous ways: the historical, the poetic and the architectural, amongst others. The publication is introduced with a summary of the critical texts, and an introduction to the book and Lieven De Boeck's work by Freek Lomme.
