西尾維新（Nisio Isin）

1981年出生，立命館大學肄業。以別稱「京都的二十歲」出道，2002年以《斬首循環》一書榮獲第23屆梅菲斯特獎。創作風格融合推理與輕小說，輕快地文體帶有呶呶不休的味道。作品中常見引用經典小說和漫畫的詼諧性文趣，西尾的作品角色性格鮮明且獨特，似乎任一個角色皆可發展出獨立故事。甫出道即迅速累積極高的人氣，是目前日本新生代重要的大眾作家之一。
