没想象中这么好。之前看过他的美学导论，这本里的素材和论点就不是那么新鲜了。作者擅长收集各种材料，但是感觉他的书不是很有层次感，想说的东西从一开始就摆明了，后面就是铺陈铺陈铺陈。读这本书的最大感受是，如果理性终究不能摆脱语言的樊笼，而真理总是“溢”乎言表，那么也许甚至可以这么说，从德国古典哲学开始，哲学就慢慢成为文学的分支了（！！！）。正如施莱格尔所言，“哲学结束的地方，诗就开始了。” 但倘若一切都是修辞，哲学的骄傲到底在哪里呢？

不想读了，想大致了解他关于早期浪漫主义的思路其实看几篇论文就应该可以了。认为后期谢林的Unprethinkablebing与对模态的思辨回归了荷尔德林的洞见，早期浪漫派是认识论的实在论，而关键还是荷尔德林和诺瓦利斯发现的反思性自我意识的恶性循环问题。

In the twelve lectures collected here, Manfred Frank redresses this oversight, offering an in-depth exploration ofthe philosophical contributions and contemporary relevance of early German Romanticism. Arguing that the early German Romantics initiated an original movement away from idealism, Frank brings the leading figures of the movement, Fredrich Schlegel and Friedrich von Hardenberg (Novalis), into concert with contemporary philosophical developments, and explores the role that Firiedrich Halderlin and other members of the Homburg Circle had upon the development of early German Romantic philosophy.
