coins--small sport planes fitted with rocket pods for military
use--attack a Russian-built MiG-17 jet fighter at Nigeria s Port
Harcourt airport on May 22, 1969, during the Nigerian civil war.
Working from photographs taken shortly before the raid and from
contemporary accounts of the attacks, aviation artist John Young
created this oil painting especially for Soldiers of Fortune.
