A FAMILY! WHAT S THAT?<br >My husband and I were sitting in a quaint little lakeside res-<br >taurant in Lucerne， Switzerland. The setting sun was casting<br >e colorful path across the glassy lake. Two swans glided<br >smoothly across the blue surface， which mirrored the purple<br >mountains encircling iL<br > Inside， the warm glow of lamps gave a homey atanosphere<br >which was highlighted by friendly conversations overheard<br >from neighboring tables. A few feet from us a large tame was<br >expectant of a special party， Places were set for at least<br >twelve persons. Fresh flowers adorned the very center.<br > Soon they came--an old， a middle-aged， and a young cou-<br >ple. It was obvious that this was a family party. Was it a<br > birthday for the mother and grandmother?<br > We understood very little of the German language， but we<br > did understand the love and joy that flowed from that corner<br > of the room for the remainder o[ the evening， We found our-<br > selves rejoicing with them when laughter interrupted our con-<br > versation， And though they were complete strangers， we felt a<br > warm bond with their affection， admiration， and oneness with<br > each other.<br >
