With Love and a Pinch of Salt
began as a notebook collection of
recipes, poems, advice and
household hints prepared private-
ly by a mother for her only
daughter approaching marriage.
Eventually the material grew into
this volume for all brides, mothers,
homemakers, and women
everywhere "who want to be bet-
ter than they are."
The recipes come from the
author s own well-worn
cookbooks and from sources long
forgotten and they include
nostalgic notes of their impor-
tance in the Sandberg family.
There is a wealth of quotable
material on the home, child-
rearing, creativity, happiness,
housekeeping, decorating, and
entertaining. Much of this is from
Mrs. Sandberg s own pen and
much of it has been collected
through the years from a variety of
sources.
Mrs. Sandberg believes that
marriage and the Christian home
ought to be exciting and creative
since God has designed the home
to be a beautiful picture of Christ s
relationship with His bride, the
church. Her ideas will encourage
the reader to make motherhood
and homemaking the fulfilling and
happy vocation God intended it to
be.
