Heart breaking...

我最喜欢的一段是Giovanni说如果他没离开自己的小村庄，现在已经幸福得发胖了，如果那时候David才遇到他，绝对不会被吸引了，而是会像其他美国游客一样开着愚蠢的大车飞驰过来喝完葡萄酒赞不绝口又飞驰而去。

难过得喘不过气来

扉页引的惠特曼与Hella说的“Americans should never come to Europe”可概括本书：爱得疯狂害人，不直面性向与真实情感也害人；Americanness，欧洲害（美国）人、法国害（美国）人、巴黎尤其害（美国）人。冷静克制的文笔要我命，最后D幻想G受处决的部分真是一把杀人干净利落的刀……上世纪同志小说的感情线放到现在好像都cliche，但揪着戏剧性没必要，本就不是为了呈现一个好事多磨的言情故事。PS. Introduction里提到的鲍德温说过的一句太棒——“If Americans can mature on the level of racism, then they have to mature on the level of sexuality.”

日前去看了紀錄片《我不是你的黑鬼》 認識他稍微多一點 就把這本書找出來看了 雖然網路上批評紀錄片完全不提同志平權的部分 （但紀錄片的脈絡是他書寫的文字所以硬加進來也很不妥吧） 而這本書當時出來也有人說他迴避了種族了部分 但我覺得他把兩件事分得相當適切 因為本來人權...
