Jin Wang starts at a new school where he’s the only Chinese-American student. When a boy from Taiwan joins his class, Jin doesn’t want to be associated with an FOB like him. Jin just wants to be an all-American boy, because he’s in love with an all-American girl. Danny is an all-American boy: great at basketball, popular with the girls. But his obnoxious Chinese cousin Chin-Kee’s annual visit is such a disaster that it ruins Danny’s reputation at school, leaving him with no choice but to transfer somewhere he can start all over again. The Monkey King has lived for thousands of years and mastered the arts of kung fu and the heavenly disciplines. He’s ready to join the ranks of the immortal gods in heaven. But there’s no place in heaven for a monkey. Each of these characters cannot help himself alone, but how can they possibly help each other? 强烈推荐这本书。确认自我身份是件人人都要面对的一个槛，很多人一辈子都骑在上面过不去。这个在特定的人群中尤其如此，比如本书所借用的ABC青少年。这本书构思真是巧妙，比干巴巴讲道理有效。你就是你，不需要成为别人。当你想不是自己，你就不存在了。另，这本书怎么扯得上对中国文化的认可不认可？我个人觉得我们的文化很好，我很为它自豪，这就够了。对我来讲，它的价值不需要通过别人的认可来体现。自信一点。

评分在阅览室里随便拿来看的漫画书。三条故事线的发展和对identity的探讨都浅尝辄止，甚至充斥着stereotypes和clinché，令人失望。
