Sergei Roffis persuaded by British Intel-
ligence to settle a score with an old
enelny, Laurence Kress. It seems there is
a small island in the Bahamas which a
syndicate is developing as a resort lot
game fishermen, and Kress has the con-
trolling interest. Roff s task is to make
sure control passes from Kress shands.
He is set up as a wealthy property
developer with a yacht and a gorgeous
young mistress, but soOn he discovers thai
he s a pawn in a very deadly game which
involves drug money used by an obsessed
Japanese nationalist to subsidize terrorist
organizations. After a fishing "accident,"
and his discover that an American seu-
ator might be another pawn, he realizes
that the stakes are much higher than any-
one thought.
