《Life of Johnson》不是我的菜，Samuel Johnson虽然为英语和英国文学的发展做出了巨大的贡献，但是他政治上是个彻头彻尾的保守派，看不起女人，宣扬阶级不平等，甚至为宗教裁判所辩护。我还是喜欢弥尔顿那样的反抗派。对这种谈话录式的传记没什么兴趣。
