常刷常新。教會史學傢Dr Stephen Nichols在他的播客5-minute church history裏把對MacArthur關於這本書的采訪（https://goo.gl/ipyJT8）歸類到history maker一類裏。這本書的意義不僅僅在其本身擲地有聲的教導，也在於其曆史意義：對抗20世紀初開始的easy-believism。摻水的福音給尚未歸信的人虛假的安全感，把警醒從人心中去除可能是最快的neuturalize福音的方法。比較諷刺的是，這種本該屬於門徒訓練101的東西在這個時代居然成瞭controversy。
