As children of a loving, caring heavenly
Father, why are Christians still faced with
trying to cope with the problems of the
world? If God really cares for us, why do we
still have problems?
"We all have problems. That s life," says
Lloyd J. Ogilvie. "But we also have a Lord
who not only helps us grow through our
problems, but gives us the power to triumph
over them." God allows Christians to face
difficulties in life not as punishment, Dr.
Ogilvie says, bat to strengthen their faith
and trust in Him. "When the Lord allows a
big problem to surface," says Dr. Ogilvie,
"it is because He is ready to do a great
work."
As a part of his research, Dr. Ogilvie
asked his congregation and television view-
ers to come up with life s biggest problems.
In reviewing these responses and searching
God s Word, he discovered that not only
does God have a redemptive purpose for
problems; but He also gives us a specific
promise in the Bible for overy problem. This
book is a compilation of those problems
which so many people have in common, and
of God s amazing promises dealing with
those problems.
