Athena von Dietrich had had her day
in court and was found innocent of kill-
ing her husband. Only later is it dis-
covered that seven of the jurors had been
bribed. Which seven?
That is the question plaguing
Jonathan Michaelis. He was supposed to
have received a presidential appoint-
ment. Now, his reputation is in question,
the government position lost. Forever.
Horace Strang wants to know, too. His
background may be shady, but whatever
