My own enthusiasm is for the way the rest of the book shows Caper as clear, logical, and passionate in his devotion to psychoanalysis. This lends the book a freshness and liveliness while at the same time presenting a point of view particular to the author. . . In many ways this book is written from a personal vantage point, and I see it as an example of healthy diversity within the Kleinian approach. Caper discusses many of the issues at heart of what matters to analysts and their patients.
